Barcelona Women Conclude 2025 as Leaders with Multiple Achievements
Barcelona Women's team concludes 2025 at the top of the Liga F Movistar standings with a seven-point lead. They have also qualified for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women's Champions League and the Copa de la Reina, in addition to reaching the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup.
Despite suffering significant injuries to key players such as Guijarro, Salma, Aitana, Mapi, and Cata, who played 1530 minutes, coach Pere Romeu has relied on 28 players, including 10 players under the age of 20.
Coach Romeu stated, “The young players are helping us with many high-quality minutes.” Vicky is the only player who has participated in all 21 matches played by the team.
The team boasts an impressive record of 19 wins, a single draw against Chelsea, and only one defeat against Real Sociedad. They have scored 88 goals while conceding just seven.
Romeu also cautioned against hasty evaluations, stating, “We must be very careful about the criticisms and assessments we make about the players.”
