Arsenal Extends Defender William Saliba's Contract Until 2030

English club Arsenal has successfully convinced its French international defender William Saliba to sign a new five-year contract, amid interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

This extension adds three additional years to Saliba's current contract, which was set to expire in 2027, making it valid until 2030. The news was initially reported by "The Athletic" and subsequently confirmed by "L'Equipe." Although the contract has not yet been formally signed, both parties have reached a full agreement.

Over the past few weeks, the Royal Club (Real Madrid) made several attempts to persuade Arsenal to part ways with the French player. However, the Gunners' management refused to open negotiations, asserting their confidence in their ability to convince the player, who previously played for Marseille, to renew his deal.

William Saliba, 24, believes that Arsenal's project is the most suitable for his continued development and for achieving the Premier League title, a trophy that has eluded this generation of the club's players. Consequently, Real Madrid will face a significant challenge in their future attempts to sign the French defender during the upcoming summer transfer window.
