New Delay for Barcelona's Return to Camp Nou

Barcelona will have to wait longer before they can return to the stands of their historic Camp Nou stadium, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.

The source indicated that the Catalan club has decided to play its La Liga match against Valencia, scheduled for September 14, at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, which has a capacity of 6,000 spectators and usually hosts the women's team's matches.

This decision comes after the club failed to obtain the necessary approvals from the Barcelona City Council in time for their return to their main stronghold. These developments coincide with the City Council's completion of inspections and evaluations of the ongoing renovation work at the stadium.

The option of playing at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys was also ruled out from the start, due to the inability to guarantee the pitch would be in excellent condition, especially after hosting a concert on September 12.

Barcelona continues its diligent efforts to ensure a return to Camp Nou in the coming weeks, albeit with a limited capacity of 27,000 spectators in the initial phase.
